Registration for DH2012 closed

Registration is now closed. Thank you for a great conference.
These were the DH 2012 registration fees:

Member – early registration: € 220
Member – late registration: € 260
Non-member: € 385
Student Member: € 50
Student Non-member: € 115
University of Hamburg Staff: € 115
Workshops: Half day € 20, Full day € 35

The early registration period was valid until 31 May, and online registration closed altogether on 12 July 2012.

To be eligible for member rates you must have an individual subscription in 2012 to the journal LLC. When registering for the conference you will be asked to quote your LLC subscription number. You can retrieve your subscriber number by going to: http://services.oxfordjournals.org/my_account/ , then choosing “Manage your subscriptions” and scrolling down to see your 8-digit membership number. Please be aware that leading zeroes will also be counted.

Please note that the conference fee for non-members is higher than the sum of subscription to LLC plus the member conference fee. To subscribe online to the journal and benefit from the discounted membership conference rates, follow this link to the journal home page and click on Subscriptions.

Participants may also sign up for one or more of our social events:

  • the Conference Dinner Banquet, which will take place aboard the historical museum ship Rickmer Rickmers at Hamburg harbour (€ 81,50 p.p.)
  • the Senate Reception (free of charge, but registration is mandatory for planning purposes)
  • various excursions (Beatles Live Tour € 26 p.p., Hafencity/Harbour Tour € 30 p.p., Lübeck Trip € 37 p.p.)

We also invite all Digital Humanities researchers in the German speaking regions to register for the inaugural founding meeting of “Digital Humanities Deutschland” – the so-called “DHD Unconference” - on 17 July 2012. There will be no additional fee for this event, but we do request that you register in advance. For more information on this pre-conference event held in German, please visit the DHD website.

Accompanying persons

If your travel companion is interested in attending any of the DH2012 social events (banquet or excursions) without attending the conference, please register him or her for these events in ConfTool on your registration form (the choice of more than one item is activated for social events). If you need any assistance, please contact the local organizers.

Payment

Online payment in ConfTool has been set up using Paypal. After the selection of events, please click the Paypal button. You will be directed to the Paypal website which will handle the payment. You can log in your Paypal account or as guest (in case you are not registered in Paypal, this option is offered in most countries) to pay by bank transfer or creditcard.

Cancellation & Refunds Policy

  • If you have to cancel your registration, you get 80% back until 30 days before the start of the event. In all other cases, the financial responsibilities of the participants remain fully effective.
  • The participation fees are owed upon registration and are payable within 7 days following submission of the registration (but not later than 7 days before the starting day of the event).
  • Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
  • The conference program may be subject to changes.
  • Payments will be refunded if the conference is cancelled by the organizer. In that case, the organizer will have no further liability to the client. Registrations remain valid if the conference has to be postponed.
