Our Call for Papers for the DH2012 attracted a record number of submissions (393, to be precise), which is why we decided to expand to 5 strands this year. However, irrespective of the increased number of available ‘slots’ the programme committee, after detailed and careful deliberation of multiple reviews received for every of the 393 proposals, could in the end only accept a selection of contributions. Notifications for Long paper, Short paper, Panel and Poster submissions have now been sent out, congrats to all! You can book your accommodation for the conference via the online hotel booking form.In order to make your travel plans, you may have a look at the preliminary conference programme which is still subject to changes.

Please see here more information about the hotel reservation sequence:
1. Please make your booking via the online booking form.
2. A status mail is sent to your e-mail address promptly, with the indication of your ID-No.
3. Within a few days you get a request of payment and a special form that is necessary in case of a payment at the hotel reception.
4. Within five days you should transfer the mentioned amount to the account of Universität Hamburg Marketing GmbH. Otherwise you may choose to pay at the hotel reception. In this case please fill in the dedicated form you have received in step 3 and fax it to Universität Hamburg Marketing GmbH.

We would like to encourage especially young academics to participate in the DH2012. In the spirit of the conference theme „Digital Diversity: Cultures, languages and methods“ we hope to welcome students from all over the world. There are two award schemes to gain financial support: If your submission for DH2012 was accepted, you can apply for the ADHO bursary award. If you have not submitted a paper or were unlucky and not selected, you still have the opportunity to get a student assistant bursary award for DH2012. This bursary is in exchange for a little help during the conference.
