Ordered chaos has descended upon the main lobby – everybody’s running to and fro between piles of boxes, t-shirts, brochures, copies of the Book of Abstracts, flyers, cups of coffee, sweets, our famous “Gummibärchen”. Printers and scanners and notebooks and espresso machines are being set up – and the first conference attendants have already arrived for a sneak preview!

Anyway: if you have already arrived in Hamburg and don’t know what to do until the conference finally starts, we collected some of our favorite cultural activities, sports events and other things going on these days in the event calendar.
Read More48 hs to go, but some ADHO committee members have already assembled in Hamburg and will meet for a day-long exec meeting tomorrow. Also, our twelve international student assistants have begun to arrive – welcome! The Hamburg team will be packing conference bags with them tomorrow and brief our guests about the venues, podcasting, blogging, surveys, technical matters etc.. Each international student will partner with one of our Hamburg students, so delegates will be assisted by twelve expert teams throughout the coming week.
